"私は雨 / Watashi wa Ame" is a music video produced for a song cover competition. The video ranked 3rd overall, and 2nd in the animation category out of 57 participating teams. It is important to note that this project credits me under my artist name "Reverie". 

This project is a collaboration of 10 individuals coming together and producing a song cover with original vocal arrangements and an original music video in the span of just around 2 months. We collaborated as a group to write a story about our original characters, which we would tell in this video.

I worked in very close collaboration with the illustrator of this project to create a visually convincing storyboard that would not only result in stunning illustrations but also illustrations that are drawn in the way they can be most effectively used in motion, such as the character splash arts being set up for a 3D parallax effect, giving the illustrations more depth. 

In addition, this project challenged me to come up with ways to create new compositions with existing assets and to work with our already wide array of assets as effectively as possible.

I also had the chance to work with a very talented co-animator. Thus, aside from assisting in the art direction, I also worked to most effectively split the work in a way that would cater to both of our individual strengths while also directing the video work to blend our sections best, and make the final outcome cohesive and seamless.

I also participated as one of the vocalists.
